Microsoft's planning to announce a business version of its Windows Desktop Search on Tuesday at the Barcelona IT Forum.
The enterprise version of the software will allow administrators to decide which gets indexed and searched and ease the tool's deployment.
"These new enterprise-class enhancements to the desktop search capabilities we introduced last spring will empower IT professionals to deliver higher productivity, lower IT management costs and greater ease of use throughout their organizations," said MSN Senior Vice President, Yusuf Mehdi.
The enterprise Windows Desktop Search will allow users to search through the company's Intranet trough an existing portal tool such as Microsoft's SharePoint Server.
The company also intends to add part of these new Desktop Search abilities to the consumer search tool.
