The Actresses Are Competing For "I Dream Of Jeannie"

Hollywood actresses Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Garner and Kate Hudson are competing with each other for the ole of Jeannie in the upcoming movie adaptation of TV series I Dream Of Jeannie.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Keira Knightley and Jessica Simpson were also racing for this part, but it seems that they are no longer among the favourites.

I Dream Of Jeannie, which will be directed by Gurinder Chadha, is a remake from the classic 60s sitcom, Barbara Eden making it popular in the 1960s.

The movie tells the story of the astronaut Major Anthony Nelson, which discovers a mysterious bottle containing a beautiful female genie when his spacecraft makes an emergency landing on a desert island.

Eager to have him as her new master, she stows herself away and is taken back to Florida, where she causes Nelson all sorts of trouble in various comic dilemmas.
