Christina Aguilera And Britney Spears No Longer Rivals

Aguilera: "I sent Britney a gift basket, and she phoned me to say thanks."

According to late news, the pop singer Christina Aguilera decided to put their differences behind and made up with her rival, pop princess Britney Spears.

Aguilera, who became Mrs Jordan Bratman during this weekend, first met Britney while they were starring on the Mickey Mouse Club as children. Christina declared: "I sent Britney a gift basket, and she phoned me to say thanks."

She added: "I still can't believe Brit has had a baby! It's weird, you've known this person since she was a girl and now she's doing all these grown up things. It's been quite a journey for both of us. We've just ended up at different places in our lives."

The feud between the two stars intensified in 2003, when Aguilera was spotted canoodling with Britney's then boyfriend Justin Timberlake, at the Brit Awards. The girls started taking trash about each other, Aguilera saying that Britney's wedding was "cheap" and claiming the star had "let herself go" while she was pregnant.

Britney fought back, saying that Aguilera didn't come to her wedding because she wasn't invited and branded the sexy blonde as "dark".
