Simpson Paid For Cacee's Birthday Party

Singer and newly actress Jessica Simpson tried to deny rumours about her husband, singer Nick Lachey and her personal assistant CaCee Cobb being romantically involved, inviting her for a girls night out to celebrate Cobb's birthday.

Simpson, 26, invited CaCee and another 20 close friend at The Lodge in Beverley Hills, where ate, drank and were merry singing Happy Birthday to CaCee three times, reports The People.

After the dinner was over, Jessica paid the bill and left with the guest at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel for some cocktails.

Just a few days ago, CaCee was rumoured of being romantically involved with the star's future ex-husband Lachey. CaCee, who seems to be Jessica's closest pal during the "Newlyweds," apparently did not agree with the actress' constantly infidelities and felt sorry for Nick.

A source told New York Daily News paper: "She feels badly for Nick and is very vocal about missing him. She saw Jessica abuse him all along."
