Paris Hilton Offers Nicole Richie Her Friendly Support

Paris: “I'm really sorry to hear about Nic's engagement.”

Sexy socialite Paris Hilton reportedly sympathizes with her former pal, Nicole Richie following her break-up with fiancé Adam Goldstein a few days ago.

The Hilton heiress also admited she wants to patch up things with Nicole and become friends again.

Paris, who recently split from fiancé Paris Latsis, got on stage at a friend's Christmas party and sent a public massage to Nicole.

Her speech said: "I'm really sorry to hear about Nic's engagement. I went through the same thing. With Christmas coming up, I realize I really miss her and want to get in touch again."

Early this year, after the two "Simple Life" star mysteriously fell out, Paris declared: "It's no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends. I will not go into the details of what happened. All I will say is that Nicole knows what she did and that's all I am ever going to say about it."

A few weeks ago Paris sent a sorry note, asking her former pall to let the past go and settle things straight, but Nicole refused to answer.
