Jessica Simpson Met Nick Lachey For The Last Time

The ex-couple met at the home owned by Simpson's parents in Encino, California

According to late news, singer and newly actress Jessica Simpson met for the last time with Nick Lachey as husband and wife, before filling the divorce paper.

According to US news show Extra, Simpson, 26, met Lachey during the weekend at the home owned by Simpson's parents in Encino, California, before she officially filed for divorce on Friday December 16.

It seems that the two stars both agreed, during the meeting, to file the papers the next day. The ex-couple also agreed to remain friends as they divide up their assets. The newspaper claims Jessica agreed to give Lachey half of her money, but she will not pay him spousal support.

Simpson and Nick officially announced their divorce on Nov 23, after months of denials and rumors, stating: "After three years of marriage, and careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways.

"This is the mutual decision of two people with an enormous amount of respect and admiration for each other. We hope that you respect our privacy during this difficult time."
