Newly-single Jessica Simpson moved into her new home , a $3 million mansion in Beverly Hills, California ,less then one month after filing for divorce from husband Nick Lachey. "She`s happy to have a house that`s hers," a source told People magazine

Jessica and Nick officially announced that they had split in November, after months of speculations.

Simpson filed for divorce on December 16, 2005, from her estranged husband of three years, Nick Lachey citing "irreconcilable differences." Under California's community property law, the courts may award Nick half of Jessica's net worth — last year alone Simpson grossed $35 million dollars.

The ex-couple are having their divorce handled by a private Los Angeles judge and hope to make the separation as clean as possible.

"There is no squabble, and we are hoping for a quick and private procedure,' a close friend of Lachey told People.
