Charlie Sheen To Divorce Denise Richards

Sheen's publicist: "They want to keep it private."

Hollywood couple Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards announced yesterday their decision to get divorced, after moths of rumors about them reconciling.

According to reports, both actors' lawyers filled the divorce papers in a Los Angeles court on Wednesday. Sheen's publicist, Stan Rosenfield, confirmed the news and stated: "They asked the court to go to a private arbitrator. They want to keep it private."

Richards' spokesperson also confirmed, but no further details were disclosed to the media.

Sheen, 40, married the well-known actress, Denise Richards, on June 15, 2002. They announced their separation in March 2005, with Denise being pregnant in seven months, but during the last period it was rumored they want to reconcile.

The former couple has two daughters, Sam Katherine Estevez (born March 9, 2004), and Lola Irene Estevez (born June 1, 2005). Sheen also has a daughter by former girlfriend Paula Profit, Cassandra Estevez (born 1985).
