The video-game maker, Take-Two Interactive, will own Irrational Games' offices in Boston and Australia, and its games would be published under the 2K Games label.
Take Two now includes subsidiaries Rockstar Games, Global Star Software, Gathering of Developers, Gotham Games, TalonSoft, 2K Games, 2K Sports (formally known as Sega Sports), Visual Concepts, Kush Games, Indie Built, Venom Games, Firaxis Games, Frog City Software, Take-Two Licensing (formerly known as TDK Mediactive), Jack of All Games and Joytech.
Irrational Games is a video game developer that originated as an off-shoot by three former employees of Looking Glass Studios: Ken Levine, Jonathan Chey, and Robert Fermier. Irrational Games was created in 1997. It published games like "System Shock 2" and "Freedom Force" while "BioShock," a role-playing shooting game for next-generation console systems and PCs will be released in the next 2 years.
