Hilary Swank Still Hoping To Save Her Marriage

Swank says: "It's not over, we're not divorced."

According to late reports, Hollywood actress Hilary Swank recently confessed during an interview that she is still married with her husband, actor Chad Lowe, despite the media rumors which claim the couple is seeking for an annulment, after eight years of marriage.

Hilary, 31, who attended the Monday night ceremony of the 63rd Annual Golden Globes to present the award for Best Actor in a Drama film, told Access Hollywood's reporter Billy Bush that she is still hoping to save her marriage with Lowe.

She says, "It's not over, we're not divorced. We've been together for over 13 years and there's a lot of love there...We're still married."

However, on January 9, Swank's manager released the following statement to Access Hollywood: "Hilary and Chad have decided to separate, but they are hopeful they'll be able to get through this tough time."

Hilary met her husband Lowe on the set of "Quiet Days in Hollywood" in 1997, and after 5-month relationship both of them married on September 28 that year.

Swank's film career in Hollywood began with a small part in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1992) and then a major part in "The Next Karate Kid" (1994), where she played the title character, the first female protégée of the (by then) legendary sensei played by Pat Morita.

Swank also had a regular role on "Beverly Hills 90210" during the show's eighth season, but was fired in the middle of the season, three weeks before landing the role in "Boys Don't Cry".

Swan is a two-time Oscar-winning American actress. She is best known for her performances as troubled transman Brandon Teena in the movie "Boys Don't Cry" and as a waitress-turned-boxer in "Million Dollar Baby"; both roles earned her Academy Awards for Best Actress.
