The Terrorist Attack In Baghdad Killed 23 Persons

At least three Iraqi police officers were among the dead

At least 23 persons died today and more that 25 were wounded in two suicidal terrorist attacks, which took place in a crowded coffee shop from Baghdad, the officials declared.

The car bomb, which targeted an Iraqi police patrol, exploded first on Sadoon Street, immediately followed by the second explosion from the coffee shop. According to reports, at least three Iraqi police officers were among the dead.

The attack occurred as the mother of abducted American reporter Jill Carroll begged her daughter's terrorist kidnapers to release her, after they requested the U.S govern to free all Iraqi women in military custody by Friday night.

"We condemn the abduction of journalists, who are means to conveying the truth to people," Muthana Harith al-Dhari, a spokesman for the Association of Muslim Scholars, said.
