Tom Cruise Sues Life & Style Magazine For The Split Story

Cruise's lawyer: "This is a disgusting and malicious story."

Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is decided to sue the American magazine Life & Style for publishing a fabricated story, which claimed that Cruise and his fiancée, pregnant actress Katie Holmes, ended their relationship.

According to reports, Cruise was furious when he read the story, which also claimed that he and Holmes are having a fake relationship, just for the sake of publicity. The superstar called the article "malicious fallacies". However, Life & Style say they stand by their story "100 per cent".

Cruise is decided to sue the tabloid and, according to same sources, he is set to meet his lawyer to talk about the legal actions.

Cruise's attorney Fields says: "This is a disgusting and malicious story.

"It is unequivocally false and I have already demanded a retraction. I will be sitting down with Tom in the next couple of days to discuss this story, and ultimately it's his call as to whether we bring a lawsuit. But if it was up to me, I would sue."

The article, published last week, writes: "Life & Style has learned exclusively that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have agreed to call off their wedding -- and, ultimately to split... [they] plan to keep up the charade of a romance until after the baby's birth this spring. In the meantime, the couple will live in his Beverly Hills home--though sleeping in separate bedrooms--through the summer."
