Actress Angelina Jolie and her lover Brad Pitt welcomed into the world their first biological child together: a baby girl named Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.
The little one was born on May 27 during the night in The Cottage Hospital in Swakopmund, in Namibia.
The name Jolie and Pitt chose for their daughter, Shiloh, is generally understood to mean the Messiah; "the peaceful one".
The second name, Novel has less religious and historical resonance but probably an important meaning for the happy couple ("nouvel" is French for "new").
Jolie and the little one are expected to remain in the hospital for a couple days before returning to the couple's sea-side Namibian retreat where the new parents, along with kids Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 1, have been staying since April.
