Denise Richards Talks About Her Romance With Richie Sambora

Richards : "I just want to be happy."

Former model Denise Richards told US TV show 'Entertainment Tonight' that her relationship with Heather Locklear's future ex-husband, Richie Sambora, was simply an accident.

Richards admitted that she wasn't "looking for love" when she started dating Sambora "This relationship was the last thing I was looking for. It's true when they say things happen when you least expect it," she explained.

The actress also insisted that her current romance with Sambora had nothing to do with her divorce from Charlie Sheen or with Richie's separation from Heather.

"We didn't meddle in anybody's marriage or anything like that," Denise said. "There are always two or three or four sides to every story."

Richards added that she is sick everyone blaming her for Heather and Richie's separation and pointed out that she was never Locklear's best friend, as media suggested in the past few months.

"She wasn't my best friend. She was a close friend in the last couple of years. I hadn't known her my whole life like people are portraying this. It's been tough having people think that I'm such a crappy friend."

"I've just got to the point where life is so short and I just want to be happy," Richards added.
