Javier Garcia Portillo moved to play for Gimnastic de Tarragona for the start of the 2006/2007 season ant will remain there for the next two seasons.
"It's sad to leave Madrid," Portillo told reporters on Monday. "But I'm pleased to be staying in Spain this time."
Portillo was signed by Real Madrid in 1994-95 season and was entered in the Infantile B. In a moment, Portillo demonstrated why it had future in the club: 42 goals in League and 33 more in other matches.
During seven consecutive seasons he would lead the league in scoring on whatever level he was at: infantile, youth, cadet. All together, scoring more goals in the Madrid youth system than Raul Gonzalez.
