Boy George Sweeps Chinatown

Boy George shocks paparazzi as he delights in sweeping the streets of Chinatown

Despite his less than enjoyable punishment the 41-year-old singer's manager, Mr. Jeremy Pearce confessed:

"It's been great actually. It's been really quite positive. I think George has responded extremely well."

"He just kind of took to it. He did it very conscientiously. He liked the people he was working with, both those who were doing community service and the people who ran the Sanitation Department, who were very fair. It was hard work but he seemed to almost enjoy it. He put his back into it and did a good job. I think people were quite surprised. I think they thought he was going to be a diva," added Pearce.

Not only did Boy George successfully carry out his sentence but he also did it with style.

Let's hope he didn't enjoy his sentence so much that he'll try to pull a similar stunt in the future.

Pearce also mentioned the fact that his client found new friends there with whom he plans to stay in touch.

"I think they liked him because he was so down to earth," said Pearce.

Boy George's problems with the law arose from a mishap on his behalf when he amazingly called the police because of a suspected robbery and ended up being charged with drug possession.
