11 Israeli Tourists Killed on Egyptian Roads

A serious accident taking place in the Sinai Peninsula on Thursday caused the death of 11 Israeli tourists. According to police officials other 30 tourist were injured in the accident.

However ambulances arrived at the unfortunate place minutes after the accident occurred. Some of the passengers remained trapped hours after the bus's overturning.

"Egyptian ambulances only arrived after half an hour," declared a witness of the tragedy.

The tragedy occurred Tuesday, at 4:30 Pm.380 km southern of Egypt's, between Nuweiba and Taba, an important tourist resorts when a bus overturned.

The Israeli tourists were returning home after completing a seven-day organized trip in Egypt.

According to The Israeli Foreign Ministry, Egyptian authorities were cooperative and managed to solve the situation effectively.

"There is no problem with the Egyptians. They are very nice to us and very cooperative." "Our embassy is in full contact with them and everything is OK," the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman added.

Authorities excluded the possibility of a terrorist attack.

Severe car accidents take place monthly on the Egyptian rounds that are extremely dangerous. The lack of necessary traffic regulation is frequently responsible for numerous deaths.
