"Greetings from Tucson" Star, Pablo Santos, Killed In a Plane Crash

19-year-old actor Pablo Santos died on Friday in a plane crash.

The unfortunate incident took place in central Mexico, while Polo was traveling from Monterrey to Acapulco.

Pablo Santos' father was owning the plane, a Piper Malibu.

The star was flying with six friends. Fortunately only one of his friends, 19-year-old Martel Fernandez, also lost his life in the accident.

The other five are currently hospitalized. Hospital officials offered further details related to the state of the patients.

According to Diego Marcos, involved in the plane crash, a technical problem at the engine caused the tragedy.

"The motor coughed and then cut out ... and then we went straight down. Everything was too fast," told Diego in an interview to "El Norte".

Diego also mentioned that plane was designed to support six passengers. However, Polo somehow convinced the pilot to take an extra passenger on the Piper Malibu.

Investigations are made so that the real cause of the accident is clearly determined.
