Get Ready for Radio Oprah & Friends!

The crowned queen of talk show, Oprah Winfrey is to launch her own radio channel, Oprah & Friends.

Oprah's radio, launched by XM Satellite Radio, will broadcast 24 hours day and will include interactive shows hosted by Oprah herself and some of her closest friend including Gayle King, fitness expert Bob Greene and poet Maya Angelou.

Early this year it was announced that Winfrey signed a $55 million, 3-year contract with XM Satellite Radio to establish Oprah & Friends radio channel. Winfrey's contract requires her to be on air 30 minutes a week, 39 weeks a year.

Winfrey will co-host a show with her best friend Gayle King, called "The Oprah and Gayle Show," in which the two stars will discuss latest news and gossip.

Oprah Winfrey is currently a multiple-Emmy Award winning host of "The Oprah Winfrey Show", the highest rated talk show in television history.

Two years ago Life magazine ranked Winfrey as the most influential woman of her generation and Time magazine ranked her as one of only four people in history to have shaped both the 20th century and the early 21st.
