The Australian pop star launched her book, published by Puffin, last weekend, dressed up in a white dress covered in flowers with big wizard like sleeves.
The volume is the story of a young girl called Kylie, who becomes a showgirl with the help of a dedicated group of friends.
Sources say that Kylie wrote the book in the worst period of her recovering.
Meanwhile, Kylie, who is rehearsaling for her comeback tour, which will be resumed in November, reassured fans she is taking things slowly but she is ready to go back on stage.
"I'm not a year out of recovery and I'm recording and doing photo shoots and we've filmed new stuff for the screens for the show. I've hardly stopped. Not to panic people that I'm overdoing it, but I've been doing quite a lot. I'm trying to build up my strength," Kylie said.
"There's certain things I can't do but I don't think that will make it less of a show, it will be more of a show," she added.
