Vista RC2 LE Is Out

Microsoft Windows Build 5744 (Vista RC2) follows Vista Build 5600 (Vista RC1) increasing performance, application compatibility, and overall interface.

Vista grew to RC2, which is expected to be the last face of Microsoft's new Windows, Vista, before it hits store shelves. The Vista Release Candidate 2 (RC2) will be offered to beta and TAP testers, as well as MSDN/TechNet subscribers.

Build 5744 (Vista RC2) follows Build 5600 (Vista RC1), but hopefully Microsoft will keep its promise that this version of the new Windows is the last before the commercial version.

Vista RC2 Build 5744 adds to performance, application compatibility, and overall interface ease of use.

Jim Allchin, co president - platforms group, Microsoft, announced that RC2 has "thousands of quality improvements over Windows Vista RC1."
