George Clooney, No. 1 Man's Man

George Clooney is, according to a top released by AskMen.com, the most representative celebrity of the male gender.

The Oscar winning actor who recently added the American Cinematheque Awards to his impressive collection of prizes, received most votes, nearly a million, from ASkMen.com's readers. Competition was tough, as Clooney was chosen No. 1 man's man from a list of 15,000 nominees.

Rapper Jay-Z came second in the list compiled by AskMen.com, while adventurer-entrepreneur Richard Branson was third in the top.

Lane Armstrong, Sheryl Crow's former fiancé, is according to AskMen.com the No. 4 man's man.

The top 49 "ambassadors of male-kind" also includes names like: Bono, Bill Clinton, Steve Jobs or Tiger Woods.

George Clooney's charm and intelligence fascinate millions of women worldwide, including actress Julia Roberts. The "The Pretty Woman" star admitted that before meeting her husband, George Clooney was the best man a woman could wish.

The Globe winning actor was also named Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine in 1997.
