Brad Pitt Wearing Boxers on the Cover of Vanity Fair

Actor Brad Pitt is concerned of the fact that his image might be affected by his latest appearance on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

The picture that was chosen by Vanity Fair's editors to appear on the December issue's cover reveals the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" star in a very surprising posture.

A picture showing Brad Pitt wearing just white boxers and socks is now on Vanity Fair's cover and the actor is furious because he was not consulted by the magazine's representative before the printing of the cover.

Angelina Jolie's partner was totally shocked to see that photos taken by Robert Wilson in 2005 are now being published by Vanity Fair magazine.

"We are very disappointed that Vanity Fair has chosen to put an unauthorized cover on their magazine. It seriously makes me question their integrity and motives," told Brad Pitt's spokesperson to TMZ.com.

However, a Vanity Fair representative stated that the magazine has't broken the law by publishing the picture as the photograph was part of an artistic project design by Robert Wilson.

"Brad Pitt posed for a Robert Wilson video portrait, and in the photo release (signed by Pitt), agreed to allow Wilson to use the portrait or any images from that sitting in connection with any publicity on Wilson's video project. Vanity Fair decided to do a story on Wilson's video portraits and obtained rights to the entire collection of photographs from those sittings, which included Pitt's."
