Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan in Party Bust-up

It seems that the new friendship between the Hilton heiress and Britney Spear made Paris’ former best pal Lindsay Lohan loose her temper and start a public scandal.

Saturday night Lohan appeared on TV claiming that Hilton threw a drink at her during a Hollywood party.

"Paris Hilton is crazy," she told photographers. "She just threw a drink on me and then elbowed me for no reason."

The Mean Girls actress showed off some scars she claimed Hilton caused her after the glass attack at the Hyde nightclub. "This is a video that Paris Hilton hit me with a drink, she poured it all over me and it hurts and it's not OK," Lohan said.

However, socialite Paris Hilton denies the incident claiming that she is not responsible for starting the bust-up with Lohan.

"It's not true. At no time did Paris ever throw anything at Lindsay," Hilton's publicist Elliot Mintz said. "At no time did Paris ever hit her, assault her, touch her or make any physical contact with her. This is really troubling and very disturbing. It's a very serious accusation when you say somebody hit them."

Mintz added that Lohan's claims are "offensive" and have to stop.

"In recent days and recent weeks you will notice that Lindsay has said some very disturbing and very unpleasant things about Paris. Some of those words I would not repeat. I'm sure she's a better person and a fine actress," he said.

"This kind of ranting against Paris has to stop. Paris does not insult anybody. Paris does not call people names. She does not make false accusations. (This) is offensive to Paris. It might even be defamatory. This must stop."
