Paris Hilton on Britney Spears' Footsteps

Paris Hilton and Britney Spears: both famous, both single, both blonde and they both pulled out from co-hosting this year’s Billboard Music Awards. What’s next? A duet album?!

Like her good pal, Britney did a week ago, Paris Hilton pulled back from co-hosting the Billboard Music Awards explaining that she felt offended by the script the organizers gave her.

According to her spokesman, Elliot Mintz, Paris hated the script and described it as containing "objectionable" lines.

"It is my understanding that some satirical references ridiculed some of her peers," Paris' spokesman, Elliot Mintz, said in a statement. "Paris did not want to say anything that could appear hurtful or embarrassing about people she knows."

Last week Britney also pulled out from co-hosting the event, which will be held this week at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, giving no explanation.

"She pulled out," an insider revealed. "She didn't give a reason." "We really don't know the reason. But we're disappointed she backed out," the source added.

Since Britney announced she is seeking to dissolve her marriage with Kevin Federline, she and Paris have been very close, going together almost everywhere. So there is no surprise that Paris decided to pull back from co-hosting the event if Britney did the same.
