The classic horror "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" from 1974, about a group of hippies travelling through 1970's Texas fall preying to a trio of murderous brothers and their cannibal grandparents, was voted the scariest movie of all time, in a poll made by a US magazine.
The movie outrivaled "The Silence Of The Lambs", a movie about a young FBI agent, who is assigned to help find a missing woman, and save her from a psychopathic killer with the help of another killer, which came in second.
"The Exorcist", which tells the story of a troubled cleric who sees a means of redemption in helping a psychologically damaged teen, took the third place in the 'top 25 Scariest DVD Ever list' published by US magazine Giant.
