The Dad Insists: "They're Still Together!”

Pop singer Jessica Simpson's dad and manager Joe strongly denies late reports about the split between her daughter and husband Nick Lacey. Joe is enraged by all the rumors and insists that Jessica and Nick's marriage is better then ever and the couple could not be happier.

He says: "They're still together… They just got back from Italy, where they were taking their anniversary vacation; they spent time together and they had a romantic dinner.

"Nick rented some museum place and had an orchestra and had an opera singer sing and they had a candlelight dinner. (It) sounds like a divorce to me."

Meanwhile Jessica plans a trip to Nairobi, Africa were she will promote her charity Operation Smile, accompanied by her father, Joe and personal assistant Cacee Cobb but without Nick.
